"Season's Encore" (16x20)

The Story:
Summers are long here. Fall tries to move in on time every year with a sudden drop in temperature and a windy, blustery day. We excitedly pull out sweaters and socks and fool ourselves into thinking the heat has subsided. But our summers always have one more encore performance to give. The drive this day was during such an encore. The day started chilly but warmed to the point where we shed our jackets and drove with windows down—hands hanging out the window to “catch the wind”. Enjoying this season’s encore for another moment before it took it’s final bow.
