The Lesson:
The winter season does not apologize for its need to rest. It understands the benefits of pausing to regroup and recharge its energy. In our culture of constant productivity being the norm, this is perhaps the hardest lesson to accept from nature. I’m working on it.

Rock pigment, limestone, plaster, wood ash, coal, acrylic ink, crushed stones, and cheesecloth on canvas panel
Solid maple wood frame (overall dimensions approx. 10 1/4 x 13 1/4 x 1.5 inches)
