This piece was inspired by the water’s edge of a nearby creek. Where erosion has pulled away parts of the bank, water pools in and becomes shelter to small fish, tadpoles, and new plant life. Even when its rest is disrupted, nature finds a way to repurpose itself into something useful.

Rock Pigment, limestone, acrylic medium, acrylic ink, and crushed stones on stretched canvas

Solid maple wood frame (overall dimensions approx. 10 1/4 x 13 1/4 x 1.5 inches)
