Elements of Rest

Now Available

There is a lesson we can learn from nature in the winter months: That rest is necessary and vital. During winter nature eases into an unapologetic rest until spring. All around us things drift into a state of dormancy and stillness. This stillness, the acknowledged need to slow down and rest, and the lessons learned from doing so are the inspiration behind the development of this collection.

The Inspiration…

Using elements I've observed in nature that seem to grow more beautiful when allowed to rest, I have been given an abundance of both inspirations to create from, and artistic materials to create with.

Crushed rock pigments, charcoal, wood ash, and rust are just some of the elements being incorporated into these pieces. Warm, layered, and heavily textured, this collection will be worth the wait.
